Hi. I’m Heather Thor and I’m the founder and lead teacher at Little Thinkers Preschool.

I began my career serving children at the young age of 12, when I started my first babysitting service for my neighborhood in Sacramento, passing out flyers and hiring all my friends. I guess I have always been an entrepreneur at heart!

From there, I obtained my Early Childhood Education Units immediately after high school at Marin Community College, and taught preschool during my college years in Marin County and then at UCSB.  After earning my BA in Psychology, I moved to Los Angeles and took a job as a second grade teacher in Echo Park while earning my CA State Teaching Credential. I taught second grade for 3 years through LA Unified, and cherished my experience there, but my heart was calling me to Encinitas and back to preschool!

When my son was born 14 years ago, I decided to make a life long dream come true, and so I began Little Thinkers Preschool. Today it is still my passion, and I am so blessed to serve the wonderful families of this beautiful community.
